The Adobe Photoshop CC Training and Learning video series is where you can start learning about Photoshop. You can purchase the DVD set or download the videos to your computer for your own reference. You can also watch the screencast tutorials with the video or download the PDF manuals.

Should you invest in the Creative Cloud version of Photoshop? You can save up to 50 percent and get Photoshop as well as five other software applications, including Elements, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

Photoshop’s features include performing the following tasks:

Creating professional-quality images

Improving or creating highly polished images

Correcting image problems, such as correcting for lens distortion and shading and removing red eyes

However, you can use Photoshop without the Creative Cloud package for a limited number of features. You may want to consider getting the version of Photoshop that best serves your needs.

Getting the Right Version of Photoshop

Unfortunately, Photoshop, as with most software, is available in several different versions. Photoshop CS6 is Photoshop’s latest version, and this is what I cover in this chapter. However, Photoshop CS5, which is the last version that supports all the great Photoshop features, is still available.

Adobe has several different versions of Photoshop, with new features and different versions coming out every year. The following sections explain what to look for when choosing between versions to meet your needs. (See the sections related to that version for what the differences are between the various versions.)

If you’re using Photoshop for your business, make sure you have the latest version of Photoshop. The latest versions of Photoshop and the other Creative Cloud applications are available for download to your computer at www.adobe.com.

If you use Photoshop as part of your job and you’re looking to see which version of Photoshop you should purchase, check out the software’s product descriptions at www.adobe.com. The descriptions go into great detail about the features in that version.

If you’re like most people, you’re not a stickler for version differences. In other words, you’re more interested in what Photoshop can do for you rather than what version it’s in. That

Using Photoshop Elements

Where is Elements at now? Photoshop Elements 12 was released in April 2016. Photoshop Elements 11 is now end of life and Adobe stopped supporting it in January 2018.

As mentioned above, you can’t use Elements on Windows 10 or macOS if you are not a member of Creative Cloud. You can, however, use it on Windows 8 and 8.1. It is also available for macOS. Photoshop Elements works on all Windows and Apple Mac computers.

The classic Elements version for Windows has been downloaded about 250 million times since its launch in 2006.

How to use Photoshop Elements

The download section on the website provides macOS, and Mac and PC versions of the software, free. It also provides a version for Windows and on that site you can purchase a single-user version for Windows (only), or a multi-user version for Windows, and a 10-User version for Windows and macOS.

A few versions are also available on Google Play but we don’t recommend using them for those reasons: they don’t work with Macs and they are at the moment free but they are about to change, with the price fixed at $69.90.

Enter the image that you want to open into Photoshop Elements

Georges has his own personal problems, as the girl he loves, Jacqueline, is engaged to another man. Célestin will try to seduce Jacqueline in order to obtain the financial means to pay back Georges in full.
